SUMMER SEASON 1 OF CAMPS AT LEIMAKHONG

When I was suggested that I should host the SUMMER SEASON 1 of Camps 2011 at Manipur for “SERAPHIM ADVENTURE & CAMPS”, frankly speaking I had mixed feelings. I love the northeast India, no doubt about it. First, the summers are lovely with greenery and amiable climate. Second, the pollution-free and beautiful hills and valleys are very reposeful. And finally, the people are so warm and hospitable and I have lots of friends there.

However, my ‘mixed feelings’ were turned to happy anticipation, when the first batch of campers for SUMMER SEASON 1 of Camps would arrive and love the place just the way I did it, as my flight was landing in Imphal.

The land-view of the serene and quiet campsite proved to be as appealing and luring as the sky-view, with long meandering roads lined with tall pine trees, the view of stretches of green hills and valleys all around, and all I could do was praise God for taking me to this beautiful place.

The place is famous for its natural beauty and is especially appealing in the summer months, when it is fresh after the showers, greener and refreshing. Amongst the other attractions are the famous Loktak Lake, the Kangla, the Leimaram Waterfalls, Orchidarium, Ecological Parks at Nongmeiching and Kakching, etc.
